“The artwork I commissioned & all of Petra's motifs remind me of what is true. This feeling gets me through my day. Just by looking at it, I immediately experience a wonderful sense of relaxation. I breathe more deeply. I notice more space inside of me and feel peace, I feel my body. I become calm and clear.” Veena, Norway

Art originals for your space
Below see examples of my styles and art series. If something speaks to you, download the catalogue, where you will find all available originals.

Materials: I usually draw on wafer-thin, coarse-grained natural Kahari paper from the Himalayas, using liquid gold, metallic gold, bronze, gold leaf, calligraphy ink and watercolor. Occasionally I use thick, high-quality watercolor paper.

Any motif, a modification of it's style or a tailormade piece based on your ideas can be ordered as commissioned work. Upon request I combine an existing motif with a personal message, a word, a quote or text that reminds you of what is most meaningful to you or embodies your business mission or values.
Please send all your inquiries to contact@petraheveroch.com.

Q & A
I like a design. Now what?

If a piece appeals to you, download the catalogue and see if it is available as original. Then email me via contact@petraheveroch.com. If you have questions, we can also speak on zoom. If your piece of choice is sold or you would like it in a different format, paper type or slightly modified, I am happy to create a tailormade version for you. Once the order has been completed and payment has been made, I will ship the work to you, rolled, well protected, insured and with tracking. Worldwide shipping costs are not included in the price of the original.
I like your style. I would like to commission a piece. How do I proceed?
Email me at contact@petraheveroch.com, and we will arrange a zoom meeting to discuss what would be suitable for you. If you particularly like a motif from my series, you can choose from the available paper types, materials, sizes and paper shades. Feel free to contact me regarding special requests for unusual formats or styles. Even if you have a completely new motif in mind, would like to develop something together with me or would like to be surprised: Anything is possible. The duration of a commissioned work varies depending on its scope.
Do you also ship originals with frames?

Upon request, I will ship your artwork with a very special, japanese-inspired frame that I developed myself: A “floating frame” made of bamboo. The artwork is hung on a natural bamboo stick with four magnets and a cord, similar to japanese bamboo scrolls (see photo). It is a unique, delicate and elegant frame design that gives the impression that the artwork is floating on the wall. I do not offer regular frames with glass.

What exactly is Kahari paper?

Kahari is a unique, super thin and very delicate paper with a natural fiber structure. It is made from the bark of the daphne bush at an altitude of 2,000 meters in the Himalayas and is available in a wide range of colors.

What is important to know when ordering originals?

You will receive a certificate of authenticity with every large-format original you order. Formats larger than A3 will be shipped well protected in rolled form. Kahari paper, for example, is incredibly thin and delicate and must be handled with great care. Its natural structure reveals fibers and unevenness, which is part of its uniqueness. However, it can quickly become creased. When you unpack it, it is advisable to lay it flat on a table for a few hours so that it can smooth out. If a crease has formed due to movement, you can simply place your warm hand on the area and gently stroke it (on a firm surface). The ironing effect will smooth out the crease.
You offer to combine a motif with a personal message. What exactly do you mean?

If you like a motif, regardless of whether you are ordering it for your private space or your business, I offer to add "meaning". A powerful word, a memorable phrase, a motivational saying, an uplifting message, your values, your life's calling, something that speaks directly to you. In a business context, it could be your claim, your values, your mission, vision or anything branding relating.

I can also help you figure out exactly what that is for you in a clarity session.
Questions are best clarified when connecting directly. Just email me via contact@petraheveroch.com.

I am Petra Heveroch from Cologne, Germany, artist and mentor for creative resilience & radical <self> care.
I love to bring special things into the world, that touch people without many words. Things that help to choose the good, true & beautiful, especially during these times.
My journey to this point has been very wild, intense, and full of twists and turns, adventures and challenges.

Through all of this, there was always a stable, reliable component and companion: Creating art. I have been drawing since early childhood, always, on the side, everywhere. It just flowed out of me, without agenda, in pure joy. I can't show off with it. I always knew that what I painted and what people felt when they saw it didn't come from me, but was simply a gift from God.
Just as each of us has been given beautiful talents by God but for which we ourselves have done nothing. Painting was there from the start. I never received any art related education. My teachers, friends and acquaintances always said “do something with art with your talent.” But for a long time I was too afraid. During my studies and my first years of work, drawing took a back seat, but it kept coming back and knocking on my door.

After 2015 I received more and more feedback that my motifs brought people inner peace, clarity, strength and grounding. How many times did I show people my pictures and they simply started crying. This often left me stunned and speechless. They told me that it helped them find their way back to something that felt deeply true. In 2016, I decided to bring my art into the world professionally, initially alongside my marketing work. In 2017 I quit and became 100% selfemployed, shipping originals worldwide, receiving assignments for commissioned Living Signs, Branding & Logo Art.

I believe that the most important things don't have to be loud and eccentric. My wish is for everyone who sees my art that your heart opens up to the deep peace and love that is beyond this world: God. When I found my way out of the maze of deceptive rabbit holes and hamster wheels and found HIM, everything changed. The message of my art is:

Live joyfully, simply, truthfully and courageously. Be compassionate without agenda. Choose what is alive, real, imperfect, natural and good. Hold nothing back. Slow down, embrace yourself and don't get sucked into the madness of running, chasing and performing. Don't let anything or anyone pressure or manipulate you. And above all, ask for the door to true peace, to nondramatic quiet contentment and to a fulfillment that has nothing to do with whether one is rich, successful, seen, healthy or loved. SERENITY. GOD.
